Donna has faced a great deal of adversity for her young
age, losing her father and becoming the emotional rock for
her mother, who suffered a stroke. Donna is tall, striking,
intelligent, and naturally kind, but her confidence has taken
a hit from all she’s endured.
But Donna keeps her head high. She pushes through,
refusing to let her pain define her. When she receives a
mysterious letter inviting her to the prestigious private
school “Nawlins”, everything changes. There, she uncovers
a magical power within herself that pushes her to her limits
and helps her rediscover her confidence.
Donna’s story is one of courage, faith, and rising above it
all. She’s living proof that even the most unlikely heroes
can save the world… once they believe in themselves.

Noor is a New York native by way of Ethiopia. Mysterious,
stylish, and bold with a big heart, she’s the type who
commands attention the moment she enters a room. Music
is her love language, which drives her confident pursuit of
a career as a producer, writer, and singer.
With powerful magical abilities and sharp intellect, Noor
doesn’t play games unless she’s already winning. So don’t
mistake her kindness for weakness. She and Donna become
best friends early on, which was pretty much inevitable
given their shared New York roots.
Always down for a bit of danger and a good time, Noor
also has the magical powers to handle whatever chaos
comes with it. She proudly wears her hijab and represents
her heritage with confident swag.

Chad is New Orleans through and through. From his accent
and swagger to his attitude and identity, he embodies the
soul of the 17th Ward. He reps Hollygrove loudly and
proudly, never ashamed of where he’s from—even when
others judge him for it.
Tall, powerful, and fearless, Chad has the confidence to
take on any challenge. While some wizards feel insecure
about not coming from elite bloodlines, Chad proves that
hard work and heart can rival pedigree and privilege. You
don’t need a famous lineage to be great; you just need grit.
Eventually, Chad becomes friends with Donna... but his
feelings for her might evolve into something deeper. As
tensions rise and danger looms, Chad is ready to fight for
his school, his people, and maybe even his shot at love.
Jia is unapologetically BOUJEE. She’s not afraid to flaunt
her confidence, even if it occasionally reads as cocky
(which she owns, unapologetically). Thanks to her sharp
intuition and discernment, she chooses her inner circle
wisely, a trait that’s sure to benefit her in the long run.
Originally from Bordeaux, France, Jia has a slight
accent but don’t even think about making fun of it because
she WILL tell you off. And while we’re on the subject,
don’t expect her to hold her tongue—Jia is always the first
to speak her mind, no matter the consequences.
Raised in luxury, with a well-off, well-traveled family,
she’s intelligent, cultured, stylish, and never misses a beat.
